I love the iPhone, but I got a Droid because I'm stuck with (aka "lucky to be on") Verizon, and I have to agree about the screen. I didn't know it was actually 265 pixels per inch, but that sounds about right since the thing basically looks like glowing paper (no pixels are ever visible) and I can still read a web page when zoomed fully out (not that I would, but my eyes are good enough to see that it's rendering every single letter). It's so freaking clear.The app selection and quality leaves a lot to be desired: not filtering the apps or controlling their design qualities as much has its downsides. But overall you can find something that does what you need and there are a few standouts. Hopefully this will improve as the Droid expands the market, but I still think the iPhone has, in general, better quality and obviously more apps, and also a better touch screen and responsive experience. The Droid passes, but there are some interfaces that just annoy the heck out of me, for all its (many) capabilities I will still think of it as somewhat ugly.But for both phones, let's face it, this cartoon nails it on the head. My friends must be annoyed at the new toy syndrome I've had for the last three days, and I feel empty inside. I'm hoping it subsides and I get used to it just being a phone and don't let it take over my life.
